A specially-designed series of leaflets aimed at helping Ongar and North Weald residents have a say in the running of the district has been produced by Epping Forest Council.
The leaflets - which are available free from libraries, information centres, and public buildings - include:
Your Voice, Your Choice covers the work of the councils four area plans sub-committees and explains how the meetings are run, who takes part, and how to register to speak
How we Make Decisions explains how the council works following the adoption of its new constitution in May 2002
More Questions than Answers? is a guide to asking questions at council meetings
The publication of the leaflets was welcomed by EFDC council leader, Maggie McEwen, who said she hoped people would use them to find out how to go about making their voices heard.
