A Southend school is just months away from being removed from the Government's special measures register following a glowing inspection report.
Bournemouth Park Junior School was found to be making "good progress overall" according to the latest report by education watchdog Ofsted.

It noted the good quality of the leadership and management plus the strong direction given to the school by the acting headteacher Angela Hutchinson.
She said: "I am confident we will be removed from special measures by this summer.
"We are thrilled with this report. We have worked extremely hard and there have been notable improvements throughout all areas in the school.
"Relationships with parents have improved and attendance is now above the national average. When the school went into special measures attendance was 87 per cent but for our autumn term it was 96 per cent."
