About 150 jobs could be lost at one of Colchester's best known firms.

Talks with staff at Paxman Diesels are now underway following an announcement made to workers yesterday about the firm's future.

Although no redundancy notices have yet been sent to staff it could mean Paxman Diesels, owned by MAN B and W Diesel, will reduce its workforce from 249 to just 100.

The jobs shock comes in the wake of a managerial business assessment of the firm's future.
