Matt Holland has told how relieved he is at the closure of the dreaded transfer window.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Sheffield United, the Blues skipper admits January was a nervous month for Town as the players didn't know who was going to be sold to ease the club's financial problems.

He told the Evening Gazette: "It's not just a relief for me but for all the others, like Herman Hreidarsson, Marcus Bent and Darren Ambrose.

"At least now we know what we've got to work with for the rest of the season and hopefully all the speculation will stop."

"There's no reason now, with the players we've got, why we can't push ourselves for promotion."

But Holland admitted the players would have to perform better than they did last week when they went down to Bradford.
