A playwright in residence is one of the highlights of a Witham school's new arts community programme which you don't have to be a pupil or parent to get involved in.
Lucy Traube will be taking classes on playwriting and running her independent Gag Theatre Company at Rickstones School in Conrad Road from later this month.
The school will also be offering non-pupils evening classes, including group and individual music and drama sessions and two new youth theatres for seniors and juniors.
Head of arts, Anne May, said: "This is all in addition to our extensive arts college programme."
Rickstones School launches it community arts programme on Thursday at 7pm in the school hall. All are welcome to attend.
