Vandals slashed 17 tyres during a night-time attack at Colchester Institute.
The tyres were attacked with a knife at Sheepen Place in the early hours of Wednesday. Five college vehicles and a car belonging to a member of staff were targeted.
Firefighters were also called out to a blaze at the back of the refectory, near the site of a fire a few months ago.
A college spokeswoman said the tyres of two mini-buses, a van, a pick-up truck and a college car were damaged.
No college trips had to be cancelled but the vandalism has caused difficulties for staff transporting deliveries between the institute's three sites.
