Children at a Laindon school enjoyed the first of a series of interactive plays about road safety.
Basildon Council's road safety team has arranged for Stopwatch Theatre Company to take centre stage at a number of schools in Basildon.

And the children at the Great Berry school in Forest Glade, Laindon, took full advantage of being one of the first to find out how to be road wise and aware of the dangers caused by traffic.
A small cast performed the play, entitled Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road, before asking the children to take part.
The initiative is funded by the Road Safety and Community Safety Partnership.
