A teenager suffered injuries to the neck in the second attack to take place on a Clacton estate in less than a week.
The teenage boy was injured when he was attacked by a gang, which included a fourteen-year-old boy, in Langham Drive, Clacton, at about 2.15pm on Saturda
He was taken to Clacton Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Two teenage girls and a pair of teenage boys have been arrested.
Insp Andy Hooke, of Clacton police, said the boy suffered a cut to the neck, which was not life threatening.
As it is the second attack in the past week in Langham Drive, police say they will be keeping a close eye on the area. Police are invesigating links between the two attacks.
On Tuesday, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed when a gang of men forced their way into his home wielding knives and baseball bats.
