The driving force behind Castle Point volunteers has agreed to cook for a vital community group in a bid to find a full-time replacement.

Tomorrow, Volunteer Bureau co-ordinator Suzie Brutnell will offer her services at the WRVS over sixties club in the hall at the John Burrows Ground, Rectory Road, Hadleigh.

Her help means the WRVS service, which offers elderly and isolated people a meal, can keep going - for now.

Suzie said: "I am looking forward to helping out in the kitchen and I hope by sharing my experiences I can help WRVS recruit a volunteer cook to join the hard working team on a Wednesday."

WRVS over sixties club have been running lunches for elderly and isolated people in Castle Point for 32 years.

If you have basic cooking skills and are a team player and can spare time from 9am until 1pm on a Wednesday then please contact Suzie now at the Volunteer Bureau on 01702 559794.
