Rain halted play in the County Championship game between Warwickshire and Essex at Edgbaston this afternoon.
The home side were 446-7 after 114 overs by 5pm today.
Warwickshire earlier added 35 runs to their overnight score for the loss of no wickets.
Batsmen Jim Troughton and Dougie Brown had helped Warwickshire to a commanding position on the opening day coming together to add 201 runs for the sixth wicket.
