There's nothing better than a good book to keep you entertained.
Youngsters found this out at first hand when they enjoyed Roald Dahl classics such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and George's Marvellous Medicine.
The library, in St Martin's Square, kicked off the storytime session to tie in with a competition offering tickets to see George's Marvellous Medicine at the Palace Theatre, Southend.

The theatre is offering a buy one, get one free ticket offer on production of library tickets at the box office when booking.
