Children swapped their classrooms for the office environment when they spent the day with the HSBC Bank.

The 25 lucky youngsters, aged between 11 and 16, were presented with certificates following the Let's Open Doors initiative at the bank's branch in Southend High Street and the Card Services building in Chartwell Square.

Julie Godfrey, HSBC's school liaison officer, said: "We are delighted to welcome children into our workplace to experience a day in the life of HSBC."
