A Colchester man arrested after a fatal crash is in a Spanish prison after being charged with driving offences.
A Foreign Office spokesman has confirmed that Steven Hill, 30, from the Ipswich Road area of the town, is accused of drink driving and causing an accident.
He was arrested in Ibiza on April 20, after the crash, which left a German holiday-maker dead and a second person injured in hospital.
The Foreign Office spokesman said that Mr Hill has been visited by British consular staff and his relatives have been told of his arrest and impending trial.
