Police were today investigating an indecent assault and three indecent exposures in Chelmsford.

They occurred over the last eight days but are not linked.

In the first, a man exposed himself in front of two teenage girls in a walkway near Coval Lane. He rode a black mountain bike.

He was described as skinny, about 20 years, with short French crop-style dark brown hair. He had a spotty complexion and wore a black bomber jacket.

In the second incident a man exposed himself to a 24-year-old woman from across the River Can in Central Park.

He was described as dark-skinned, medium tubby build, 5ft 9ins tall with short dark hair.

Then, on Saturday, a 35-year-old woman was indecently assaulted on an allotment site near Second Avenue, just before 5.30pm.

The attacker was described as mixed race, medium build, 14 to 19 years old, 5ft 7ins tall with short dark hair. He had a distinctive mark on the left-side of his face.

Hours later a man carried out an indecent act in front of a group of young boys in King's Road at 7.30pm. He was described as a stocky 45-year-old, 5ft 7ins tall, unshaven with an unkempt appearance. He wore a red puffed jacket and a dirty black bobble hat
