A plumber has undergone emergency surgery after a power tool cut through his foot.
Paramedics and fire crews from Basildon and Grays rushed to help construction worker Paul Pidgeon, 31, who dropped an angle grinder while working on a loft conversion in Hutton.
He was taken to Broomfield Hospital by air ambulance.
