Ambitious Halstead Town have bolstered their squad by signing Harwich's Gareth Heath.
The midfielder-cum-striker top-scored for the relegated Shrimpers last season after bagging 23 goals.
Halstead have swapped divisions with Harwich after winning promotion to the Ridgeons League premier division.
And Heath, who came through the ranks at the Royal Oak, told the Evening Gazette: "It was a very difficult decision.
"Harwich are my home-town club and I've been there a long while, so I'm sorry to leave.
"But perhaps the time is right for a fresh start.
"Halstead are an ambitious club, moving onwards and upwards, and I'm looking forward to a new challenge."
