Basildon-based gymnast Reiss Beckford got a taste of silver when competing in the national development plan finals in Newcastle.

Competing against the best 11-year-olds from throughout Great Britain, Reiss excelled in capturing runners-up spot.
He travels from his Enfield home six days a week for training at the South Essex Club in Cranes Farm Road.
