A woman found dead in her home died of a head injury, a post mortem has revealed.
The body of Joan Carter, 46, of Waldegrave, Basildon, was discovered on Tuesday.
Paramedics initially thought she died from natural causes, but at Basildon Hospital bruising to her head were found. Police are continuing their investigation.
