A mother has told of her shock and anger after seven of her pet rabbits were killed.

The first was suffocated and the others have been let out of their hutches to die.

Mum-of-three Catherine Green, of Clayton Road, Ramsey, said the problems started when an adult rabbit, Tally, was found dead.

She said someone had used part of a toy tractor to place around Tally's neck and suffocate it.

Since then, another six baby rabbits have been killed as someone has broken into their garden and left the hutch open.

Now just 13 of the original rabbits remain and several more were born earlier this week.

Miss Green and her family have been in Clayton Road for less than a year after moving from Mistley.

Her family have had to put up with name-calling, oil was thrown over her car, her front door locks have been glued and food has been thrown over her home.

She has now asked the housing association for a move somewhere else.

Anyone who knows anything about the rabbits' deaths should call Harwich police on 01255 241312
