Two grandmothers who launched a campaign to re-open Canvey police station will soon see their 5,000 strong petition presented in the House of Commons.
Maggie Robbins, 61, of Craven Avenue, Canvey, and Maureen Campbell, 61, of Southwick Avenue, Canvey, want to see the island's police station opened to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
MP Bob Spink will present the petition.
