Police are appealing for information about an attempted theft of a motorcycle parked in Springfield Road, Chelmsford on June 13.
A man, described as aged 19 or 20, stocky, six feet two with light ginger hair, was seen tampering with the Aprilla 125.
He was then seen getting into a white Fiesta, registration G277 TMY, and driving off along Springfield Road.
Witnesses say the man was also wearing a white cap, white three-quarter length trousers and a pale blue basketball vest.
The Aprilla had £200 worth of damage caused to the ignition barrel and police are asking anyone who may have any information to contact them on 01245 491212.
