A young mother is appealing for help after a precious video tape of her first child was stolen.
She disturbed a burglary in Rectory Road, Grays, last Monday. The thieves ran off.
Among the items taken was a view-camcorder in a blue and grey holdall.
The tape inside the camcorder contained memories of the couples first child, the first steps, birthday and first words.
According to Grays police, the couple are both very upset at the loss of the tape and ask that if anybody finds it they return it anonymously to the police station.
The incident happened between 6.05pm and 6.30pm.
If you saw anything that night or may have found the tape or know of its whereabouts please return it to Grays police station or call 01375 391212.
