A parking ticket is normally the most unwelcome thing a motorist can find attached to their windscreen.
But some residents of the small rural community of Rivenhall have found something altogether more shocking when getting into their vehicles of a morning.
Police are investigating a number of incidents where drivers have found obscene photographs tucked underneath their windscreen wipers.
The instant-camera pictures are believed to depict the fly-by-night snapper's own genitals.
Police launched an investigation after a resident of Tusser Close complained that an obscene photograph had been left on their car overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
Subsequent inquiries found a number of other motorists had fallen victim to the phantom photographer without reporting the matter.
