Children from several secondary schools took part in the Road Runner scheme at Southend airport.
The campaign targeted potential new drivers with workshops which highlighted the issues and dangers facing new road users.
These included tips on buying a car, the consequences of drink driving and a simulated rescue from a road traffic accident.
Richard Amner, chairman of Rochford District Council, said: "This is an excellent initiative which presents important road safety information in an interesting and interactive way."
