Teenagers could be in line for better facilities after councillors pledged to push ahead with a scheme to boost things for youngsters to do.
Wivenhoe Town Council last night backed calls for a new skateboard park, basketball facilities and a meeting place. They want to improve facilities for over-15s not using the existing youth centre.
Cyril Liddy said: "It is about time we took the bull by the horns and provided some facilities for the youngsters here."
Ken Rogers said some pockets of teenagers were causing trouble on the town's streets because there was nothing for them to do.
