Careful - pupils from Winter Gardens Junior School learn of the dangers in crossing or walking beside busy roads Picture: ROBIN WOOSEY
Year three pupils at Winter Gardens Junior School, in Hilton Road, were joined by their parents and Castle Point Council's road safety team, in an annual road safety morning.
Headteacher Mike Blant said: "As a school we think it is important to remind children about the importance of safety on and beside roads.
"These mornings work in making the children more aware of the dangers, and not so reliant on their parents.
"Parents always come along because they provide a good example of the road awareness issues their children should know."
