Basildon matchman Dave Hemmings weighed in a cracking 32lb 14oz mixed haul to take a clear win at the Gloucester Park Open.
Dave fished the bear pit swim using pole tactics and a variety of bait and started catching fish almost immediately - and continued to catch throughout the match.
By the final whistle his keepnets held carp, skimmers and larger bream, roach, rudd, and gudgeon.
Second place in the match went to Vange and Pitsea AC member Ron Smith with a cracking 17lb 4oz all roach haul.
He fished the big bay using pole tactics, alternating between caster and maggot baits.
Fellow Vange and Pitsea member Alan Busby took third place with 14lb 7oz of quality roach, the pole angler taking his fish from the western end of the cockle bank.
