A trio of regional champions are closing in a place in the National Association of Boys Championships after winning their weekend bouts.
Canvey team-mates Aaron Dainty, John Begley and Ryan Mahoney all defeated London region opposition to win their quarter-final fights at Chatham.
Dainty, boxing in the Class A 48kg section, outpointed Junior Saeed after two close rounds.
In Class B, 69kg John Begley pulled off a great performance to beat double national schoolboy champion Nelson Ripley.
In the senior section Ryan Mahoney enjoyed a convincing win over Beau Tuvey.
The trio now move on to Bristol where they will fight their Welsh counterparts in the National semi-finals on November 29.
