A name and shame campaign may be launched in a bid to fight the yob culture.

The initiative is the latest in a campaign led by councillors in the Frinton and Walton area.

They are also to look at the possibility of bringing pressure on stores and shops in the area to close earlier in the evening in an effort to stop underage drinking.

The drastic measures will be considered by the town council at its meeting tomorrow.

Frinton councillor Roy Caddick is heading a working party to liaise with police in the fight back.

Concerned Frinton residents have agreed to pay more council tax to provide for proposed community support officers to patrol the streets. It could mean six officers in the district by next spring.
