Free advice to existing and start-up businesses in Clacton have been given through a business awareness event organised by Colchester Business Enterprise Agency.
In addition to the services it already provides in the Colchester area, COLBEA has recently taken responsibility for business start up advice and training in Tendring.
A new office has opened in Jackson Chambers, Jackson Street, where interviews are scheduled with professional business advisers. These advice services, as well as some of the training courses on offer, are free of charge.
The business awareness event, held at the Clacton campus of Colchester Institute, gave local people an opportunity to ask questions about self-employment, training, finance, business practice and employing people
As well as COLBEA's business advisers, there were representatives from accountancy firms and the Inland Revenue, training providers and other business services.
