Residents of one Basildon street take Christmas very seriously - because it is an opportunity to raise hundreds of pounds for charity.
Redgrave Road in Vange is holding a Christmas event this year with plenty to entertain children and adults.
There will be a brass band from Castle Point, a santa and sleigh from Basildon Round Table, a snow machine, raffles, a tombola and homemade cakes, hot chocolate and mince pies will be for sale.
All of the houses bordering on the square - which in near Ravenscourt Drive - are already setting up their Christmas lights in preparation. Last year the event raised £830 for Little Haven Children's Hospice. Organisers hope to top £1,000 this year.
The event is being held on Sunday, November 30, from 6pm.
