De La Salle, in Ghyllgrove, Basildon, and James Hornsby High, in Leinster Road, Laindon, will be the first in the area to share a PC.
The Safer School Partnership officer is yet to be chosen but should be in place by Christmas.
Chief Supt Peter Sheldrake, Basildon's top police officer, said the PC will represent the human face of policing and will take full part in school life.
