The new facility and waiting bay has been built in the school grounds to ease congestion on Southchurch Boulevard.
It can accommodate seven buses at once and will be used primarily by school consortium buses, which transport significant numbers of pupils to the school every day.
In addition to easing congestion on the public road, the new facility will allow passengers to disembark in the safety of the school grounds.
David Mansfield, the new headteacher for Southend High School for Girls, said: "This development will not only make travel to and from school easier and safer, but it also shows the real benefits of collaboration - thanks to Southend Council and Keymed for their involvement."
