Residents are starting to win their fight to clean up Clacton and rid it of litter.
Rubbish and filth is causing problems for residents living in the Meredith Road area of Clacton.
One of the problems is the Warwick Castle market site which backs on to Meredith Road.
Rubbish is often left blowing around and litter finds its way into residents' gardens.
District councillor Tony Sargent has been campaigning to rid the streets of litter and now it looks like the problem could be easing.
A new section of fence has been put in place at the Warwick Castle site and a gate has been installed on the corner near the Old Road mini-roundabout.
The gate will be closed after market stallholders finish trading to stop the rubbish blowing out.
