A woman was subjected to an indecent assault in Colchester High Street while she was shopping with her teenage daughters.
A man approached the woman outside the Next store at about 5pm on Saturday and started making lewd suggestions to her and pushed himself up against her.
Det Sgt Roger Napier, of Colchester police, said the man appeared to be drunk and walked off towards the bottom end of the High Street.
The man was white, in his 20s, 5ft 7in, of medium build and was wearing dark jeans and a black T-shirt with a red logo on it.
