A workshop for sports coaches is coming up at Braintree Leisure Centre.
The Equity in Your Coaching workshop is to help coaches ensure everyone has access to sport regardless of gender, age, race, faith or sexual orientation.
The course, which costs £15, will help coaches to apply and extend their skills to meet the needs of present and potential participants.
Among the ways in which the course will help coaches are an explanation of what equity means and why it is important, identification of barriers to participation and use of appropriate language and terminology.
It will be held at the centre on December 10, from 7pm to 10pm.
