Young people in Billericay have been going bananas in order to raise money for charity.
Members of the youth group at Christ Church in Perry Street showed some pudding power by working together to make the biggest banana split the town has even seen.
The giant desert was an incredible 12metres in length and took around 40 spoons to eat and even all those hungry mouths struggled to finish it off.
The wacky fundraiser was the brainchild of the group's leadership team who wanted to do something a little different to raise money for Children in Need.
Youth Outreach Worker at the church, Carrie Leslie, said the youngsters had a great time making the desert and also eating it.
She said: "There was around 40 people there and that included members of the youth group and local scout and guides groups who also use the church.
"It was a lot of fun and we think we have raised around £200 for Children in Need through sponsorship which everyone is really pleased about."
