College chiefs have revealed proposals for a new £4 million sports and teaching complex in Colchester.
The project is phase two of the Sixth Form College's redevelopment plans.
Bosses want to build a new hall and more than 20 classrooms off North Hill.
The hall will be used for sports and exams, and there will be new kitchens and student refectory.
Spokesman Phil Brighty said: "It will also include a certain amount of refurbishment of the existing gym, which will be made into a performing arts centre."
The college is currently building a new £1.2 million IT centre, which is due to be completed by April next year.
The second phase should be finished in the next five years if it gets the go-ahead from council planners.
