While much of the country is being warned about serious water shortages, the South-East has more than enough water for its needs.
Following the long, hot summer the Environment Agency has revealed much of England and Wales can expect problems next year particularly in the South East unless we have a wet winter.
The agency says the region - which has seen only 30 per cent of its usual rainfall in the last three months - is the worst hit area. But a spokesman said: "It is a very different picture in the Anglian region.
Last weekend alone there was a month's worth of rain with 50 millimetres falling between Friday, November 21, and Sunday, November 23.
A spokesman for Anglian Water said: "Even though the water supply in the area is okay we would still urge all of our customers to be sensible."
