It was Jay's first competition and he took the £100 first prize without losing a frame.
Runner-up John Adkins collected £50 and there were £25 payouts for beaten semi-finalists Rob Galsworthy and John Choularton.
Highest break of 35 at the Southchurch Road, Southend, club came from Lee Saunders.
