An military collector has lost his military memorabilia to thieves who raided his garage.
A satellite navigation system, an army rucksack, a beret with a silver badge and survival kits were among the £2,000 haul stolen from Birch Green, Wickford.
Power tools and an orange mountain bicycle were also pinched.
PC Ben Shepherd, of Wickford Police, said the victim, who is in his thirties, was devastated by the loss of his treasured items.
PC Shepherd said: "Most of the things taken while not be worth anything to anyone except him. "He's gutted. If anybody is offered any similar items we would urge them to contact us".
