Workers at Chelmsford prison have received accolades for their commitment to the prison service.
Andrea Debham is a librarian at the jail and has developed a library service which has involved arranging quizzes and contributing to diversity and family issues.
Alex Smith, Jill Bax and Lynne Cox work in the careers workshop and have stimulated prisoners to develop their IT skills and build self-confidence with a view to obtaining worthwhile relationships and employment on release.
All four work in the prison under the auspices of the Foundation Training Company.
They received Butler Trust certificates which were set up by Sir Richard Butler, son of the late Home Secretary Rab Butler.
