Campaigners have been facing a second fight to stop controversial plans for flats on Canvey seafront.

Castle Point councillors will be forced to reconsider the proposal for a block of 32 flats in Eastern Esplanade because the name of the joint applicant - millionaire Tory Terry Holding - was left off the original application.
The move will stun more than 2,000 protesters who handed in a petition against the plans and celebrated at last month's planning meeting when the proposals were kicked out.
A protester, who did not wish to be named, said: "We intend to make sure we fight this all the way."
