Christmas shoppers in Southend town centre can spend, spend, spend without the added hassle of worrying about a parking ticket.
On late night shopping days, all major town centre car parks will be free of charge on Thursday nights.
The nine Southend car parks are:
Alexandra Street car park
Clarence Road car park
Elmer Approach car park
Tyler's Avenue car park
Warrior Square car park
Farringdon multi-storey car park
Essex Street multi-storey car park
Milton Street car park
Southend Central Library car park.
Councillor Brian Kelly, executive member for transportation and engineering, said: "This opportunity is intended to give shoppers a helpful hand at enjoying their shopping trip without the pressure of receiving a parking ticket."
