A car sales firm has bought the former Colchester headquarters of Lancaster Rover.
Gerry Wiggins, managing director of Underwoods garages, has revealed that it is the new owner of the old Lancaster Rover site, next to its existing Vauxhall dealership in Ipswich Road.
Mr Wiggins said the future of the site was still "under negotiation".
He said he planned to completely refurbish both the inside and outside of the building and reopen it as a showroom - offering more than one make of car - with a bodyshop, service centre and parts shop attached.
He said: "Underwoods pride themselves on offering excellent customer service and work hard to keep the business at the forefront of industry changes."
