Not so long ago, Southend student Chloe Taylor was singing into her hairbrush and longing to be famous.

Now the 23-year-old from Pebmarsh Drive, Wickford, is officially one of the hottest musical talents in south Essex and mixing with famous stars such as the fifth Beatle Sir George Martin.
Chloe, who is studying for a two-year music diploma at the Nightfly Studios in Southend, has been crowned Contemporary Popular Music Student of the Year at an awards ceremony in East London's British Academy of New Music.
