Police searching for missing woman Sandra Gant were today preparing to carry out door-to-door inquiries in Clacton town centre.

The 48-year-old has been missing for more than four weeks.

Detectives believe she may have been murdered.

She was last seen at about midnight on Saturday, November 15, at the railway station end of Hayes Road.

Yesterday, a team of officers made a detailed search of the area.

Ms Gant had been to Clacton Hospital before she disappeared and left between 8pm and 9pm that day.

Relatives and police have become increasingly concerned for her safety.

She is thought to have been wearing a black leather coat with light blue jeans, trainers and a blue scarf.
