A trade union has welcomed news that there are to be two new runways in the south east.
Commenting on the publication of the Aviation White Paper, TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber said: "The decision that there will be two new runways in the south east is welcome.
"It gives the UK aviation industry a clear plan for the future to build on and expand, creating thousands more jobs and seeing off the competition from Europe."
