Hornchurch put an end to Aveley's Bryco Cup ambitions at Mill Field on Saturday.

The big-spending Ryman Premier visitors racked up a five goal demolition of Division One North Aveley in a match which became more one sided as it progressed.

Millers held their own in the initial stages and it was not until the 29th minute that Bradley Allen notched the first of his brace when he cannoned home from 20 yards.

The Urchins second came 13 minutes later when Allen's deft touch in the area allowed John Martin a relatively simple tap in.

After the break Hornchurch turned up the pressure, demonstrating the vastly superior quality of their approach play.

Allen scored the third with a right foot tap-in of a high ball which had disorientated Aveley keeper Marc Palmer. And then John Keeling produced an individual effort which saw him wrong-foot two players and slot the ball home.

The final goal came, remarkably from a corner in the 83rd. John Martin will probably claim the goal which curved, bobbled through several pairs of legs before ruffling Millers' netting. Millers only real chance of the second half was a header from Nathan Elder with four minutes to go.
