A school has unveiled a £367,000 project, including new lifts and disabled toilets, on its grounds.
Notley High School in Notley Road, Braintree, officially opened the development this week after work began last June.
Lifts have been installed in the science and humanities blocks giving access to staff and pupils to the first floor of each building.
A disabled toilet with full facilities has also been installed on the first floor of the science block and the ground floor of the humanities block.
The work was part of the local education authority's schools access initiative whereby the Government approves a programme for spending on new accommodation or facilities to make it easier for people with disabilities to have access to local schools.
